Chrome that looks injection-moulded.Forged from a 3D print.

Most 3D printing stops at a grey, layered part. We don't. In our Kuala Lumpur atelier we take a raw print all the way to a flawless mirror-chrome surface — the kind of finish that makes a brand piece belong in a flagship window, not a workshop.

Then we delivered it to Maison Kitsuné.

Some pieces leave the workshop and disappear into private collections. This one walked straight into a flagship boutique and became part of the brand's identity at the table — exactly where it was always meant to be.

Why it's rare

Chrome is a craft, not a setting

Anyone can run a printer. Almost no one can take that grey, layered part and bring it to a true mirror — where every reflection is clean and the surface looks poured, not printed. It takes patient surface work, the right coating discipline, and an eye that rejects anything short of perfect.

That craft is what we've built over years of fabricating for brands in Malaysia's flagship malls — and it's the reason a chrome piece from 3D Forger reads as luxury, not as a 3D print. We won't tell you how we do it. We'll show you the result.

FAQ

Chrome finishing — your questions

Can a 3D printed part really be chrome finished?

Yes. We take a 3D printed part from raw, layered plastic to a true mirror-chrome surface through multi-stage preparation, coating, and finishing — done entirely in-house. The result reflects like polished metal, with no visible print lines.

Is it real chrome, and how durable is it?

It is a real metallic chrome finish, not a sticker or wrap. For indoor display, brand activations, retail, and showpieces it holds its mirror finish beautifully. For outdoor or high-touch use, tell us the environment and we specify a protective system to suit.

What can you chrome?

Almost any form we fabricate — from a palm-sized award to a multi-metre brand sculpture. Because we print and finish in-house, we can chrome shapes that would be impossible or ruinously expensive to make and plate conventionally.

How much does chrome finishing cost?

Chrome is a craft finish, priced by size, surface area, complexity, and finish grade. It's hand-finished per piece, not a commodity print. Share the piece and intended use and we will quote it precisely — every chrome commission is quoted per project.

Other colours — gold, metallics, tints?

Yes. The same process produces gold, brushed metal, coloured chrome, and tinted mirror finishes. Chrome is our signature; it is not our only metallic finish.
